We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Level Security Engineer in our San Franciso office. The primary responsibility of the Security Engineer,  part of the Security Business Unit, is to provide pre- and post-sales security engineering services for FusionStorm customers. The job is approximately 25% pre-sales support and design and 75% technical implementation. Less than 50% travel outside of California required.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Engineer include the following:

 Lead high-level security project discussions with Customers and FusionStorm employees Assist with design network security in new and existing networks Provide critical review to other Network and Security Engineer’s designs Implement security products including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and various other security products  Implement network products including routers, layer2/3 switches, and various other networking products Security audits and assessments Generate engineering requirements (including descriptions of requirements and solutions) for proposals Manage customer expectations and deliverables Obtain and maintain vendor engineering certifications required for service delivery As a primary provider of security consulting to the Customer, provide security consulting and engineering services that assure a high degree of Customer satisfaction. Provide timely and accurate information regarding the above to: Customers, Other Security Engineers, Engineers from other FusionStorm Business Units, FusionStorm Account Mangers and Inside Sales Reps, FusionStorm Security Management, FusionStorm Project Managers (when a PM is required)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

4 or more years experience as a Security and/or Network Engineer. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Excellent written communications skills, Excellent organizational skills with ability to team with others to develop and implement complex security projects    Security audit and assessment experience Extensive experience and certification in the Check Point, Juniper, and/or StoneGate Security product suites is desired Networking, network design and network security experience Understanding of routing protocols and networking fundamentals Experience with a broad range of security products such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, AV, VPN’s, Authentication, Content Filtering, etc... in a variety of network implementations Experience with business and functional requirements collection Ability to work a variety of projects with limited supervision Solid analytical skills to troubleshoot high-level, complex and technical problems

Additional Experience:

Experience with commercial or freeware security products (Firewalls, VPN, Intrusion Detection) - certification a plus UNIX familiarity - Solaris, Linux or BSD a plus Experience and/or certification in Check Point, Juniper, StoneGate or Nokia is a plus Current Microsoft MCSE certification a plus Security audit and assessment certification a plus
