Senior Research Analytical Chemist
Decatur, IL

This is a Full Time, Exempt position.

Job Description:
Duties will include development and execution of complex analyses and developing methods in support of the research division of ADM. The position will involve development and application of sophisticated instrumental methods utilizing HPLC, GC, ICP, AA, GC/MS, LC/MS, FTIR and wet chemistry analyses.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field, with at least 5 - 10 years relevant laboratory experience. Previous experience in the analysis of foods, fuels, organic chemicals or industrial fermentations is highly desirable. Experience with GC-MS, LC-MS-MS, advanced FTIR techniques, as well as HPLC, GC and elemental analysis preferred. Successful candidates must have the ability to lead a research group of 4-5 people in a highly multi-tasked environment, interact well with people and have clear written and oral communication skills. Position requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
