We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager located at either our ROLLING MEADOWS, IL office.
Position Summary:
Manages personnel and daily activities supporting a number of different service areas. These activities include supervision, coaching, and mentoring of team members, as well as ensuring that service performance is completed within client expectations. Understands customer/client requests for new projects, and changes or enhancements to existing services. May project manage projects as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that resources are appropriately allocated to meet client’s needs. Monitors service performance levels, ensuring activities are completed within client-specified timeframes/accuracy. Day to day client interaction and management Provides timely communication, of business/client/ performance updates, to team members. Coaches, counsels individual development, and corrective action steps (when necessary) regarding performance and behavior of team members. Ensures each individual and team has clearly defined performance expectations and are provided timely coaching and feedback regarding performance. Ensures that team members receive appropriate and timely training. Participates in the interviewing/selection process for new hire candidates. Interfaces with various client groups and external contacts, when appropriate, to ensure participant or client inquiries are accurately addressed. Responds to escalated issues, as necessary. Conducts quality control activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of deliverables. Documents and implements corrective actions, when necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of best practice models, client plan provisions and business requirements, applicable state and federal regulations, and other industry updates/trends. Maintains working knowledge of tools used to support administration of services for clients. Shares knowledge with other team members, formally or informally, to ensure team development/growth. Develops project plans, milestones and timelines to baseline tasks required for the completion of projects. Coordinates internal and external activities (both onshore and offshore), including systems development work, operational changes needed to support new work, training, user acceptance testing (both internal and with the client). Determines resources needed to meet client expectations. Coordinates the activities to obtain the needed resources. Assists management with special project assignments.
Additional Experience or Skills Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred. 4-6 years experience managing personnel. Employee benefits knowledge - Defined benefits and health and welfare.
