Job Functions: Project planning and project management Working with electric power companies to define and secure their electronic and physical security perimeters Developing guidelines and tools to assist electric power companies in assessing their current cyber security needs and posture Training electric power companies to perform reliable and timely self assessments of their security posture Working with electric power companies to eliminate gaps between their current security posture and their desired security posture
Ideal Candidate:
Working knowledge of electric power company SCADA systems, databases, distribution automation technologies Candidates must be familiar with SCADA, EMS, and IEDs and must possess strong writing and presentation skills. Solid computer skills and attention to detail are essential Familiarity with common utility communication protocols
Education Level and Years of Experience:
This position requires a degreed engineer with a strong background in network communications, information management Work experience in the electric power industry either with a company, government, or as a consultant
