Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Process Controls Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Air Products is looking to hire Process Controls Engineers for Air Products' Global Support Services (GSS) group. Responsibilities include supporting the process control system needs of new and existing Air Separation Units in North America. Other duties include contributing to improvements / optimization of existing assets and meeting organizational goals on safety, cost and performance. This position is part of a four person sub-team focused on this business area. Qualifications: * A BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering degree is preferred. * Advanced degree a plus. * Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree plus 2-10 years engineering experience. * A Bachelor non-engineering degree with 4-10 years controls experience or an Associate degree in engineering with 6-15 years controls experience will also be considered. Candidates should have hands-on knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and control systems (DCS and /or PLC), and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar tools. A fundamental understanding of computer networks is also desirable though not an absolute requirement. Candidate should also possess demonstrated problem-solving skills, and an ability to think systematically.
