The successful candidate will provide attorney services principally in the patent practice area. Responsibilities include developing an in-depth understanding of the business units served and their contribution to enterprise goals. This position provides an opportunity to proactively engage with key organizational leaders in the North Atlantic region, to further their business objectives by providing sound, balanced and reasonable legal advice on all patent matters pertinent to their operations, including preparation and prosecution of patent applications, patent clearance assessments, licensing and other contractual matters. Coordination of legal matters handled by outside counsel, and participation in the development and interpretation of departmental policy, may also be expected. The candidate is expected to demonstrate initiative and creativity in seeking solutions to problems; have excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills; and work effectively as part of a diverse team.
