Description:
RadiSys is seeking a talented Sr. Network Engineer with 6 - 10 years in IT and 5+ years in advanced network configuration and design to join our team in Hillsboro, Oregon. This individual must be accomplished in designing, managing and troubleshooting complex LAN, WAN, and Telephony configurations for a publicly traded, multinational corporation. They must be comfortable dealing with diverse technologies and with infrastructure requirements that will grow and change over time. The person selected for this role must be detail oriented, understand the importance of controlling change without delaying deliverables and be able to communicate their ideas clearly.
Technical Qualifications:
At least 5 years of enterprise class experience in the following areas is required:
Network design in diverse environments spanning domestic and international boundaries
Significant experience in designing and maintaining PSTN and IP Voice telephony systems
· Advanced network troubleshooting and recovery
· LAN and WAN management
· Provisioning voice and data circuits
· Site-to-site VPN
· Firewall management (Juniper preferred)
· Creating detailed, intelligible documentation and topology diagrams
· Vendor management
· Proficient with common industry tools on Windows Server 2003 and Linux
· Must be willing to provide third level support internally for customer-facing network and voice technologies
· Experience managing highly technical projects to budget and deadlines
Significant experience with any of the following is a plus:
· Enterprise class wireless devices
· WAN accelerators and compression devices
· Web proxy configuration (Bluecoat preferred)
· SSL-based client VPN experience
· Unified messaging technology
· Experienced operating in a structured environment under regulatory controls (SOX)

· Tolerance for Ambiguity: Able to withhold action or speech in the absence of important information; deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally at least 2 weeks a year.
