Philips Lumileds is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Scientist for their San Jose, CA operations. The Senior Manufacturing Scientist will be responsible for the manufacturing releases of new III-V wafer fabrication processes into product introduction centers and transferring them into high volume manufacturing overseas. The engineer will develop leading indicators for the new process yield and quality, and identifying and solving problems that emerge as the process is introduced to manufacturing. The candidate will lead and interact with a team of other Engineers and Technicians, in a fast paced highly interactive environment.

Requirements:

MS/PhD or equivalent technical degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, or relevant fields.Minimum of 3-5 years of process integration or process engineering in a semiconductor manufacturing or development environment. Experience in performing wafer process development. FMEA approach and root cause determination. Knowledge of Six Sigma techniques a plus. Experience with epitaxial processes and equipment.Statistical analysis experience needed.
