The company manufactures highly engineered electro-mechanical product solutions for their customers in the automotive, energy, off-road, consumer and industrial markets.
Presently, the company is seeking to add an experienced, able and self-motivated Senior Manufacturing Engineer to their SE Wisconsin location.
This position will entail a wide variety of responsibilities, including: Assisting with New Program and Product Introductions, working with customized capital equipment vendors and ensuring design accuracy of equipment through the build process, assisting with capital equipment installations, commissioning, start-up and debugging, as well as appropriate preliminary quality and regulatory measures, i.e. PPAP and APQP documentation. Some travel to non-Wisconsin plant sites may be required on an as-needed basis.
Position will also assist with day-to-day continuous improvement initiatives at plants, scrap reduction projects, first-pass yield projects, as well as tooling design and testing of tooling & fixtures.
The ideal candidate will have his/her BS in Engineering and 5+ years of related Mfg. Engineering experience or his/her 2-year degree and 8+ years of applicable experience. We will consider non-degreed candidates who have exceptionally related backgrounds and skills.
Candidates should have experience with capital equipment installations and/or production line transfers/product introductions, as well as experience in developing customized tooling. A design understanding is a must, as this position will involve working with outside vendors to ensure design integrity, as well as working with internal design groups. Knowledge of robotic welding, manual welding, brazing and automated assembly processes is preferred, but not required.
A thorough understanding of continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing is a must.
Position will begin as a 9-month to 18-month contract, with the possibility of contract extension or permanent employment with the company after initial contract period. Benefits are available during the contract period, as well as direct-deposit.
Position will pay $30-45/hr., based on experience & education.
