Amazon.com’s Warehouse Deals team is looking for a customer focused, entrepreneurial and results oriented leader to define the strategy and execute on the future of this business for Amazon. WarehouseDeals.com is an independently run and managed website (including its own technology team) within the Amazon organization that is dedicated to offering quality tested open box, returned, refurbished and slightly damaged products at reduced prices. Our goal is to become the #1 retailer for finding, discovering and buying refurbished, seconds and close-out merchandise at the lowest price and with the best customer experience possible. We handle the business from end to end including operations, pricing and on site merchandising both on Amazon’s sites as well as Warehousedeals.com. This business is currently experiencing more than triple digit year-over-year growth and the goal is to continue at this aggressive pace. The role is global in scope and includes growing Warehouse Deals in Europe and Asia.
This is a great opportunity to lead a “start-up” in an established company like Amazon and become the General Manager of a worldwide business where you will have true end to end business ownership. The successful candidate will work to: Establish strong relationships with all teams including Retail category leaders, Operations specialists, product managers and software development teams Balance tactical, day to day operational work with creation and execution of strategic plan Drive continuous improvement in all processes from product management to operations execution Own and report on overall business analytics including metrics focusing on financials, customer experience and operations The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications: Background in e-commerce product management (preferably in retail) or fulfillment operations Strong business analysis acumen with experience measuring the success of a complex business and proposing new business opportunities Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional capacity and a proven track record of delivering successful products to market Record of hiring and retaining top talent Operational support and passion with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements, improving the availability, performance, and quality of systems Track record of communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders Experience in leading or managing software development teams preferred MBA preferred Knowledge of Lean a plus
