I am currently looking for a Market Research Manager or Senior Manager to for my client's team.

 

TITLE:                   Market Research Manager OR Market Research Senior Manager

REPORTS TO:       Senior Director of Market Research

SALARY:               Manager - base up to $100,000 - $115,000 plus bonus and long-term

                                             incentive

                              Senior Manager - base up to $115,000 - $125,000 plus bonus and long-

                                             term incentive

This is a strategic position (not just looking for the tactical skills, but also the strategic thinker who will know the brand and be able to make recommendations based on their skill set and their knowledge of their brand expertise).  This is a highly visible position which interacts very closely with the marketing teams.  You will be focused on an inline vaccine product, as well as the upcoming launch of the next generation of this product.  This position will have a significant impact on the financial performance of the company.  If you are looking for an opportunity to catapult yourself and your market research career, this is it!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing and providing the information and intelligence to drive critical business decisions Collection and interpretation of primary AND secondary research for commercial and/or pipeline product Provide recommendations on the direction of current and future products Manage market research studies for your product(s) Manage market research studies from start to completion (including identifying the most appropriate market research firm for each study, designing the studies, assisting with the development of the market research tools needed, analyzing and interpreting the data, and making recommendations and presenting the findings to the appropriate staff Meet with multi-functional teams for the primary purpose of identifying information and data needs.   In addition, the Senior manager must be able to anticipate future needs and provide teams with strategic recommendations Will manage market research analyst(s), as assigned Cross-functional team work Coordinate and manage primary research studies, as assigned Strategy planning

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred 5 years of Market Research experience, minimum of 3-5 years in the pharmaceutical industry (client side OR agency) Primary AND secondary market research experience Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills Independent and pro active Therapeutic areas of vaccines, respiratory, infectious disease, inflammatory disease and oncology a PLUS Proficiency in secondary data analysis using industry sales/usage databases (i.e., NDC, IMS, Verispan, Tandem, DaVinci etc.).  Ability to work with cross-functional teams successfully Ability to execute flawlessly Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong computer and communication skills Strategic thinking skills (MUST BE STRATEGY FOCUSED) Understanding of financials, portfolio management, healthcare delivery Utilize secondary research methods and industry resources (i.e. syndicated reports, web-sites, Redbook, etc.) to provide competitive intelligence, ad hoc information etc.  Must know which resources to turn to and understand the caveats associated with them Deep understanding of marketing in the pharmaceutical industry and how market research is used in product commercialization and lifecycle management Utilize secondary data sources to provide market assessments on business development deals and manage and design any primary market research needed Experience managing, developing and training personnel
