The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for providing management with an independent assessment of the company's operations. This individual will conduct and supervise a variety of value added reviews including integrated reviews of business processes. The Senior Auditor will also manage assigned audit projects, and will develop staff as needed. Specific responsibilities include the following. 1. Plan the objectives and scope of audit assignments, including the preparation of audit related documents (engagement letters, planning memos and audit programs, etc.). 2. Conduct opening and closing meetings with department heads and Partners senior management. 3. Provide on-going communication to auditee and Internal Audit Manager. 4. Analyze and assess potential problems and risks, and develop recommendations for solutions. 5. Discuss findings with auditee(s) and prepare report of results. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited institution. A CPA, CIA or MBA is a plus. Two to five years previous experience in auditing (public accounting and/or internal audit) and one to three years in project management preferred. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and direct the activities of others in order to accomplish objectives and the ability to train and supervise Staff Auditors in the principles of accepted auditing standards. The Senior Auditor must be able to establish priorities, anticipate problems and communicate effectively with various levels of staff and senior management. This position also requires the ability to manage routine audits and multiple assignments. Minimal to no travel required. Position is based in Charlestown, MA in newly-renovated space.
