L-3 ISD provides a wide range of Intelligence Analyst support, software and systems design, development and integration to government intelligence customers and prime contractors.

This network solution deals with the DISN black core in the Global Information Grid (GIG) using IPv6 protocol to transfer packets across a satellite constellation. The ground and controlling segment deals with OSI layers 1 through 3 (management and control planes). The ground segment will also manage a circuit based satellite communications for a legacy system.

The successful candidate must have an understanding of the development, allocation and derivation of various computer network systems/segments.  This includes Information Assurance requirements as they relate to Computer Network Defense and Attack-Sensing-Warning-Response. Knowledge of statistical techniques with application of traffic analysis, flow correlation, anomaly signature development. In depth knowledge of network protocols/design with an integration background. Demonstrated experience developing network intrusion detection and network anomaly detection algorithms. Ability and history showing capability to develop creative/innovative technical solutions. Understanding of IA issues related to the DISN black core. Capacity to develop network architecture, software architecture, and associated artifacts. Of particular importance is ensuring that requirements are consistent, correct, complete and testable at all levels of specification. Must be experienced in developing system/segment architectural alternatives that comply with the requirements specified above. Must also be able to close on an assignment in a timely manner while working with a geographically dispersed team. Experience deploying network intrusion detection systems; as well as COTS/GOTS integration.
Understanding of IA issues related to the DISN black core and the DoD community.

2+ years Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption
2+ years Cross Domain Solutions

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related experience
Preferred Education:  Master's degree in Computer Science or related experience

Preferred Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, CCIE
