The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara has an opening for Senior Human Resource Generalist. The IDEAL candidate will have CURRENT "hands on" Ceridian HRIS processing experience for a minimum of two-years.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this classification is to perform a wide variety of analytical and quality control duties relating to all aspects in support of the Authority's human resources programs. Participates in assigned processes and procedures within established policies, prepares and submits reports on activities. Duties include providing information and assistance to Authority employees and the general public regarding human resources activities, policies and procedures; recruitment and selection, HRIS and compensation. Coordinates and administers personnel processes.
Duties:
· Utilize Ceridian HRIS system to process HR transactions; modify and retrieve information from employee or applicant database system; manipulate data to generate a wide variety of informational and statistical reports; check for accuracy of HR records processed by computer.
· Provide information and general assistance to Authority staff and the public regarding personnel policies, procedures, and processes. Assist in resolving routine personnel problems or complaints. Respond to employment verifications.
· Deal with supervisors concerning performance evaluations. Provide lists of evaluation due dates and follow-up on performance evaluations not received. And the necessity of the preparation of counseling notices.
· Prepare FMLA documentation and track employee time on FMLA leave.
· Process Workers’ Compensation forms in accordance with Authority procedures.
· Prepares classifications and compensation survey requests; assists in conducting salary surveys.
· Compiles and creates various analytical and statistical reports.
· Participates in training of lower level staff.
Skills/Qualifications:
Full operating knowledge of Ceridian HR/Payroll system is required.
