Currently we are in search of a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant who also is a licensed CPA, to join our Austin team. We offer a fun relaxed atmosphere, competitive pay, and great benefits. Help EZCORP be a leader in the industry by acting as the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is primarily responsible for the corporation’s SEC reporting; who ensures the integrity of accounting information, prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries; maintains and balances subsidiary accounts and general ledger; summarizes financial status; supports external audit.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for the generation of internal and
external financial reporting (SEC reporting, 10Q & 10K) and auditor relations.
Works closely with all facets of accounting to accomplish the monthly close process.
Performs monthly consolidation and eliminations required in the financial close process.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries in the general ledger.
Assimilates and provides quality control for monthly financial reporting package.
Uses multiple resources, quantitative, and qualitative research methodologies
to capture and interpret information. Research GAAP issues and questions.
Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities, and maintain monthly close.
Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple tasks. Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.
Basic experience using Excel, Lotus, or other applicable accounting and financial software to record or analyze financial information.
Familiarity with the applicable GAAP issues.
Conscientiously and methodically approaches work. Sees tasks through to completion.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university
and 3-6 years related experience in Accounting or Auditing.
•CPA or currently sitting for CPA exam, preferred
•Public Accounting experience, preferred
•SEC Reporting experience, preferred
•Experience with PeopleSoft, preferred
