The company’s management team consists of highly experienced professionals with significant hobby and craft, consumer products, technology and brand-building leadership garnered from such companies as Intel, Honeywell International, and Newell-Rubbermaid.  Moreover, in the last 3 years the company’s management team has been significantly broadened and deepened for the primary purpose of creating the industry leading creative tools and technology company. Our client continues to add to this dynamic team and is now searching for a Senior Financial Analyst who is ready to join an organization where an exciting career path awaits. The position reports to the CFO who has a track record of mentoring and developing talent.

 

The role will include the following: 

1)       Project roles:

a.       Analyze the rapidly growing Infomercial business unit.  Create a robust profitability analysis tool specific to this business.

b.       Standardize the analysis tools used to set new product pricing.

c.       Improve and make robust the P&L and Cash forecasting models currently in use.

d.       Improve the current management reports and reporting process

 

Other regular duties: 

2)       Drive the integration of Sales and Operations planning

a.       Create robust sales forecasts with the help of the sales team

b.       Ensure Operations is building to the forecast

c.       Recommending process improvements to optimize investments in inventory

3)       Participate in standard regular business cycle financial tasks on an ad hoc basis

a.       To include among other things a robust month end variance analysis

4)       Analyzing various investment projects and making recommendations

5)       Analyzing new product pricing and making recommendations

6)       Analyzing current pricing practices and improving resulting profitability across product lines

 

We are seeking an individual with the following characteristics:

1)       3-4 years minimum experience as a financial analyst

a.       experience as an analyst in technology manufacturing as an operations analyst is more than a plus…is KEY

2)       Financial or Business Management degree

3)       Process improvement training a plus (six sigma, etc)

4)       Self starter

5)       Articulate, with the ability to summarize data and make recommendations an absolute necessity

 

This position is based in Utah and relocation expenses will be paid for by the company for those who qualify.
