Billion $ Central NJ Consumer Products Manufacturer and Distributor offers an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Federal Tax Accountant. Reporting directly to the Corporate Tax Director, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

 

Federal tax filing process and participation in the consolidated 1120 return, schedule M, and other required forms and attachments.

 

Income tax accounting including FAS 109 and FIN 48 calculations and the annual tax footnote. Verifying that all deferred taxes and current provision are accurate and properly recorded. Maximizing cash flow by minimizing first and second quarter payments.

 

Using Corp tax and database, reconcile balance sheet and profit & loss to Hyperion. Posting  journal entries.

 

Participating in IRS and State audits, preparation of responses to and for request information, and participating in settlement negotiations.

 

Working to increase efficiency and streamline Federal tax compliance process through audit.

 

Tax research and planning.

 

Special projects.

 

This position offers excellent advancement potential and a starting base salary to $90K. Excellent

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Candidates for this position must be degreed in Accounting (a CPA and/or MBA in Tax are preferred), and have 3-5 years large corporation tax experience. Strong PC and tax software skills are required, as are excellent oral and written communication skills.
