SENIOR ENGINEERING ANALYST (DoD Secret clearance min. required)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Requires a working knowledge in System Engineering Analysis, planning, requirements gathering, project cost estimating, and system security to include understanding high level system designs/architectures, software and hardware installation, system administration planning and progress tracking.  Ability to review and make sense of system architectures and engineering design documents for Active Directory, Exchange, and Directory Service deployments.   Ability to analyze and meet design recommendations based on Engineering best practices to meet customer fielding requirements.  Independently plan and execute projects from start to finish, and provide functional support as required for project development, budget estimating, and alignment including good project management skills.  Good communication skills that can interface between technical and leadership personnel and strong meeting management skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum Requirements:   An understanding of Windows 2003/2007 Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange 2003/2007, and Directory Services/Identity Management functionality would be a big plus.  Should possess a general understanding of network capabilities including communications protocols, design and functionality.  Possess a managerial understanding of Microsoft AD & Exchange configurations, deployments, and migrations.  A general knowledge of data center SAN, storage and system management technologies is a big plus.  Requires general knowledge in system security planning, engineering, and certification from a deployment prospective with a general overall knowledge in system security accreditation planning and execution.  A working knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Visio.  Ability to brief senior management on technical and program management matters.

PREFERRED

Detailed understanding of the U.S. Army structure and network environment with general DoD knowledge.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Usually short travel, monthly to quarterly

BS Degree

Years of experience that may be substituted for education: 3

Total yrs of tech experience: 4-5

Total yrs management experience, if applicable:  3
