Job Summary:

Position Purpose:

The Senior End User Computing Analyst: Under minimal supervision, analyzes and solves user information delivery problems, using available Information Technology. Initiates problem prevention and improvements to existing End User computing tools. Assists with planning activities to ensure that tools are being used properly. Provides strategic direction in implementing/maintaining Business Intelligence to support the environment needs.

Essential Functions:

The Senior End User Computing Analyst: Responds to and attempts to resolve End User Computing problems. Maintains communication with User Management to ensure that functional needs and requirements are being met. Assists End Users with their use of computing tools to ensure that they are being used in an optimum manner and that corporate resources are not being misused. Understands business needs, recommend solutions, and provides support for improving IT Application Services. Provides proactive investigation, review, assessment, design and implementation of methods to improve existing processes, performance, security and data access. Works collaboratively with the Business community and IT to provide strategic direction in establishing a secure, effective, and efficient Data Warehouse Architecture, supporting multiple business subject areas. Provides production support and administration of back-end operations including: Archiving data Resolution of daily issues/requests Performance Management Maintenance upgrades Production migrations

Additional Functions: Create reports and/or programming functions when required. Develop class and documentation materials, and provide instruction on End User Computing concepts, capabilities and operations.

Requirements:

Required Skills for this Senior End User Computing Analyst position include the following: Five (5) years of related Data Processing experience or other business or technical experience to include a good understanding of: End User computing tools Office Automation tools, and/or Publishing tools Familiar with various database technologies and Project Leadership techniques Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Math, a related curriculum and/or equivalent combination of technical training and experience Specific knowledge of complex report writing in Cognos Report.Net (Unique Skill)
