Senior Director of Food and Nutrition Services - Athens, GA

Don't miss this exciting opportunitiy to advance your foodservice career!  As the Senior Director of Food and Nutrition Services, you will be directly responsible for the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services of a large acute care hospital.   As the leader of the foodservice management team, you will ensure client, customer service/satisfaction with efficient cost effective management meeting and exceeding stated expectations.  Additionally, you will be responsible for all foodservice-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering etc), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and hospital-related activities.

Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet Ability to perform various motor skills such as; lifting, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions

Necessary Ingredients:

 

B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus five (5) years of directly related experience preferred Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of hospital or adult home/care experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or training Three (3) to five (5) years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable ServSafe® Certified Certified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian preferred Must be able to pass criminal background check
