For the seasoned Education and Communications Director, who desires to work in a faced paced non-profit organization and make a difference in the healthcare industry, The Society For Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), can provide you a leadership role. For over 30 years, The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions has been a premier medical society which promotes excellence in invasive and interventional cardiovascular medicine through physician education and representation, and the advancement of quality standards to enhance patient care. The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) is the primary professional association for invasive and interventional cardiologists. SCAI’s current membership of over 4,000 adult and pediatric interventional cardiologists focus their efforts in the areas of establishing standards and guidelines for all aspects of cardiac catheterization and angiography, training, credentialing, safety and quality assurance for cardiac procedures.
As the Senior Director of Education and Communications, based in Washington, D.C., your primary responsibilities will be to manage all aspects of SCAI’s growing spectrum of educational programs, products and services and to provide leadership and motivation to our three core departments of Meetings, Education and Communications. Your leadership and mentoring skills will be used to create a more unified and cohesive organization by streamlining and enhancing the relationships and processes among these three departments. Your experience in developing and managing educational projects, including project administration, faculty interaction, multiple teaching methods and marketing, combined with your excellent inter-personal skills and understanding of the healthcare industry, will enable you to excel in this position. Your solid working familiarity with ACCME rules and ability to learn the guidelines of other physician education groups such as the AMA, AdvaMed, Pharma, and other government regulations regarding Continuing Medical Education, will help you ensure SCAI compliance. Your significant involvement with educational conferences and meetings, knowledge of web based training design and ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time to support Society activities will position yourself as a valuable asset within the Society.
