Pilgrim's Pride is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for our World Headquarters located in Pittsburg, TX. This position is responsible for analyzing product cost relative to yields, thruput, labor and overhead. Completing quarterly SOX analysis and cost runs. Mentoring and training cost accountants. Providing analytics in support of plant descisionmaking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Insuring accurate product costs that comply with GAAP based on direction from Cost Accounting Manager.
- Mentoring and training cost analysts.
- Validating, adjusting, standardizing and moving average costs for meat, ingredients and packaging.
- Reviewing and updating standard cost quarterly.
- Insuring all master data is correct including bill materials, routings and recipes.
- Providing Ad Hoc cost analysis as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least 3 years of Cost Accounting experience.
- Must be proficient in accounting and GAAP, along with a basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Must be an expert on costing in SAP.
- Ability to travel to regional plant locations.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Must have an in depth knowlege of cost accounting and a broad base knowledge of all aspects of the business, including sales, operations, transportation, supply chain management, and inventory accounting.
- Ability to handle diversity and tight deadlines in daily/monthly operations.
- This position must demonstrate strong mentoring and training skills, as well as, the ability to interface with operations management.
- Must be able to grasp and link several different concepts from all disciplines of the business to reduce cost, and increase margins.
- Requires exceptional organizational skills.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required.
