JOB PURPOSE: To Construction manage a $150MM Electric Heat Trace and Insulation project in Port Arthur, TX.

  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership of company and project safety philosophy, programs, and goals. Manage, lead and motivate the site project team to a successful completion of the project. Management and administration of project policies, procedures and rules, craft and staff hiring and manloading, wages and salary administration, safety incentives, attendance incentives, project discipline, responsibilities and performance of lower tier managers, accountability and recognition programs, labor relations, and craft and staff retention. Manage and coordinate the inter-relational activities of the Unit Managers. Manage and coordinate the inter-relational activities of the project’s Indirect Staff. Manage customer / client relations. Manage timely and accurate project required reporting. Manage work hour, quantity, and cost budgets, and change control of project scope. Manage labor performance and productivity. 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Must have worked in the capacity of a Site Construction Manager on at least 3 projects of similar magnitude. Must have good verbal and written communication skills Must be a leader and motivator of people. Must be able to work under adversity and external pressures. Must be able to embrace change as a challenge and not an impasse; then adapt methods to accommodate the change. Must be able to make sound and decisive recommendations as it relates to construction execution issues.

 EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

Required: 20+ years experience in industrial construction                

 

          Preferred: BS in Construction Management (or related field)

 Experience working as an industrial craftsperson (Electrician, Pipe Fitter etc)

                                                       

COMMENTS:  We would consider relocating the right individual for this position. This is a salaried position with an overtime provision. We expect this job requirement to be a minimum of 3 yrs with a guarantee of transitioning to our core construction management team if successful.
