Aptina Imaging is a division of Micron Technology. As a Senior Buyer at Aptina in San Jose, California, you will be responsible for: Purchasing all software and EDA tools Working with users/stakeholder to recommend new suppliers Issuing RFQs, analyze proposals, price and delivery Negotiating contracts and terms Ensuring contract negotiations are inclusive of company wide leverage Identifying all issues to be addressed in negotiations Issuing purchase orders and managing changes to terms & conditions Management of changes, closure and audits to contracts agreement Development of close working relationships with the users, legal, purchasing staff at Aptina and supplier/vendor counterparts Tracking supplier spend per period Forecasting global requirements Conducting supplier business review meetings Providing risk assessments of current suppliers Monitoring supplier performance Successful candidates for this position will have: Good skills in Purchasing, Supplier Management, Communication, Software & EDA product technology and project management Good teamwork skills to work with other departments and all stakeholders Demonstrated success in program management and cost reduction programs Excellent negotiation skills Experience in contract review and management Proficiency in MS Office Suite Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems

Education:

BS degree with 10 years of related experience or 12 years of relevant experience.
