SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for providing financial and business analytical support for Rumford Maine Operations.  This includes financial analysis, forecasting, cost trend analysis, and internal control issues.  The incumbent will also assist in the development of the annual strategy and financial planning process for the Rumford Mill and must ensure compliance of local accounting and tax standards and U.S. GAAP accounting where operations take place.  Position supports the Financial Business Manager in providing forecast, budget, analysis, annual planning and analysis and review of variance accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Leads the financial analysis including generating monthly forecasts and analyzing trends in fixed cost.

·          Assist in business strategy and business planning process for the Rumford Mill and assist in evaluation of strategic outlook of business.

·          Conducts the analysis of monthly results during close-out vs. plan/forecast and provides management oversight to reporting tools.

·          Manage business analyst reporting to this position.

·          Maintains and monitors Property, Plant and Equipment Ledger.

·          Initiate, review, approve or monitor all entries applicable to the Rumford Mill.

·          Lead and/or assist in all audits for property, sales/use, income or internal audit tax issues.

·          Monitor that adequate internal controls are in place to provide timely and accurate financial statements.

·          Performs various recurring and special purpose financial analysis as needed.

·          Communicate with Corporate Finance on an as needed basis to accurately portray results of Mill performance.

·          Support all initiatives applicable to qualifying the mill as Sarbanes - Oxley fit.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

·          Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting preferred, with CPA, CMA or MBA a plus

·          Experience should include supervisory responsibilities in financial analysis, and/or general accounting/cost accounting

·          3-5 years of solid working knowledge of financial and operations analysis in a manufacturing environment

·          Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently

·          Strong written and oral communication skills required

·          Candidate must be able to demonstrate analytical skills
