OUR Client is seeking an OPERATIONS MANAGER for their Gainesville, Ga.Facility who will be responsible for the day to day operations, production, compounding and maintenance reporting directly to the GENERAL MANAGER
With 22 manufacturing facilities strategically located throughout North America, this company is one of North America's largest custom manufacturers of both National Brand and Retailer Brand consumer products. The product lines include Laundry, Household Cleaners, OTC Medicated, Pharmaceutical and Health & Beauty Care, all supported by their in-house technical expertise and value-added services. The company produces leading National Brand products for Fortune 500 companies including Gillette, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Dial, Colgate-Palmolive, SC Johnson, Pfizer and 3M, and Retailer Brand products for top retailers including Albertsons, Kroger, Loblaws, Safeway, Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and foodservice leader Sysco. This facility located in Gainesville, GA, procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of aerosol, liquid, and solid personal care products.
They are searching for a talented, growth–oriented, hands-on Operations Leader with challenges in this position will be directing and elevating the performance of your department while strengths in providing proactive leadership for all technical related functions. Immediate developing relationships, identifying improvements and ensuring efficiency, quality output and increased product volumes. Relationship building is vital as you guide your key team leaders in achieving clearly attainable aggressive goals. This position is ideal for a results oriented achiever - ready for the next level!
Prior experience leading production activities in an aerosol/ filling environment will provide the knowledge base necessary to coordinate the efforts of batching, production, filling and maintenance operations in this high speed packaging facility. Your sense of urgency combined with technical experience and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, will be vital as you guide the efforts of your team and coach and mentor their career development. Technical strengths in product quality assurance, knowledge of Quality Standards and experience in aerosol and stick OTC product packaging standards, (TPP & FDA) cGMP regulations including ISO will give you the edge in qualifying for this position.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS· Engineering Degree - (however will consider Packaging, Manufacturing or other technical discipline) equivalent combination of 10 yrs experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree
· Minimum 8 years of related manufacturing experience leading medium to large production operations
· At least 7 years managing and developing people, ideal candidate will have directed activities of Managers/Supervisors
· Hands-on Manager with a sense of urgency, ability to manage and perform under pressure with demonstrated ability in leading and managing multiple projects on time
· Skills in team building, quality control and assurance, and task training
· Experience and knowledge of regulations for personal care products, food, and pharmaceuticals, OTC products preferred (GMP, FDA)
· Must have excellent communication skills and possess ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
· Improvement driven with track record of upward promotion
