Posting Description
Senior Business Leader, Innovation Insights and Planning, leads consumer insights work for the Innovation & Initiatives marketing team, providing key input to longer-term (5 year) strategic marketing plans and current strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
§ Work closely with Innovation marketing and cross-functional team to ensure consumer needs are understood and leveraged in longer-term strategic marketing plans
§ Build on existing knowledge base by implementing insights best practices to identify unarticulated consumer needs and growth opportunities
§ Determine global consumer research needs and objectives. Partner with Visa Research on design, execution and analysis
§ Present consumer insights and implications in compelling fashion to internal stakeholders and external partners
§ Provide input to product/service positioning and messaging strategies for early-stage growth initiatives
§ Participation in cross-functional marketing team that includes representation from Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Corporate Relations, Corporate Events, Market Research and external agencies
§ Participation in sales presentations to clients and providing ongoing marketing consultation as appropriate when unique expertise in consumer insights is needed
§ Support selling efforts to financial institution and/or merchant clients, including direct involvement in key client presentations

Requirements
§ 10+ years business experience, with majority in marketing roles that involved strategy & planning as well as execution across multiple marketing disciplines
§ Experience in leading consumer insight development and research, including ethnographic research
§ Proven ability to synthesize insights and present findings effectively in written and presentation formats.
§ Four year college degree required; MBA preferred
§ Demonstrated track record of developing marketing strategies based on business objectives and executing marketing programs that delivered measurable business results
§ Management of direct reports and/or external advertising and marketing communications agency partners
§ Global experience a plus
§ Demonstrated leadership competencies:

o General management/P&L experience
o Executive presence
o Proven track record in leading a high performing team, and setting clear priorities
o Ability to attract and develop talent, and motivate external agencies
