SENIOR BLOOD BANK MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST  Boston, MA

Night Shift

Our client a medical facility in the Boston,MA area with a tradition of excellence and affiliation with leading medical schools and Massachusetts teaching hospitals has asked that we search for a SENIOR BLOOD BANK MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST.

Responsibilities include working closely with the Laboratory Manager and inter-departmental laboratory liaison. Overseeing daily operations for designated shift. Performs routine and special diagnostic procedures, quality control and routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Collects and prepares blood and other body fluids for analysis. The following procedures are performed in the Laboratory section, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, Diagnostic Immunology, Hematology or Toxicology. This individual will follow all safety precautions, QC/QA principals and participate in scheduled training programs.

BS in Medical Technology or equivalent. 

Minimum 5 years experience, must be knowledgeable regarding QC/QA principles and concepts. 

Blood Bank experience.

Medical Technologist Certification: MT (ASCP).

American Society of Clinical Pathologists, SSB (ASCP) - Specialist in Blood Banking preferred.
