Nutshell: This is a very successful biotech company which is considered one of the hottest in the industry.  In addition to experiencing tremendous growth, they have a marketed product, a strong pipeline, and provide a flexible working environment (work from home a few days/week).

They are looking for a Sr. Associate- Drug Safety to join their team on a full-time basis.  In this role, you will serve as an important member of their Drug Safety team.  You will be working in clinical development drug safety, which might include getting involved in the training, supervising, and reporting.  Compensation is competitive, and will include a bonus, stock options, generous time off, and a strong benefits package

Responsibilities, Challenges, Expectations and Deliverables for this position:

Works independently and will provide guidance and training for the Medical Safety staff.Will assign work and confirm that work assignments were performed in accordance with FDA/ICH regulations, and company SOPs and department processes.  Responsible for receipt, collection, processing, and reporting of SAEs reported in investigational drug studies.  Internal and external liaison.  Assists in the identification and development of SOPs and departmental processes.Provide guidance and training for Medical Safety Associates and other department personnel.  Receipt, collection, processing, and reporting of SAEs for assigned investigational drug(s). Review and approve SAEs entered into the ARISg database by the Medical Safety Associates

 Experiences, Skills, Accomplishments and Qualities Desired:

RN with a BSN or BS in science or related field or RPH or Pharm D and At least two years clinical experience (nurse, pharmacist) and at least three to five years experience in drug safety, with at least two years of clinical safety experience. Clinical research experience is desirable but not essential Must have knowledge and experience in all aspects of safety reporting for clinical studies Clinical safety supervisory and training experience desirable Current on ICH and FDA requirements for serious adverse event reportingKnowledge of EU Clinical Trial Directive requirements desirable.Must have knowledge of medical terminologyMust have knowledge/experience in coding adverse events using the MedDRA Dictionary
