Our client, new to the Raleigh market and growing rapidly, has won numerous awards and is ready to make their mark here in the Triangle!!! They are working with green technologies and all new product development. We are currently looking for several SENIOR ASIC ENGINEERS to join their team!

SENIOR ASIC ENGINEER

Hardware Responsibilities:       

Directly responsible for design, development, test and validation of next generation multimedia and communications digital ASIC.Provide technical leadership and coordinate project deliverables with other team leads.Develop specifications and requirement documents to meet system requirements.Perform and oversee design of custom IP blocks for communications and multimedia interfaces.Define and develop test and validation plans that ensure that the ASIC meets the performance criteria.Coordinate with contract manufacturers to develop and produce the ASIC.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

1-3 years leading a team of ASIC designers10 years experience in digital ASIC design in combination with FPGA designProven experience at 90nM or belowExperience with ARM processorsTrack record of developing ASIC designs from initial concept.Excellent team player.A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

 

Special Priority will be given to candidates with the following skills:

Consumer product experienceCommunications, and MAC (Media Access Layer) designExperience in video, and multimedia ASIC designFabless semiconductor experience Knowledge of package design, SI and PI effectsA Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
