Salyer American Fresh Foods, Monterey, CA is seeking a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to join our team. A large California based produce company is expanding our accounting and finance department. The ideal candidate will have several years experience providing general ledger accounting support in ag and produce. Excellent skills using Microsoft Office applications and proficiency using complex accounting systems is required. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the day to day maintenance of all balance sheet accounts for 7+ companies.

 

This position will work closely with the accounting manager to ensure the monthly close process is accurate, timely, and efficient. This position will work with all key financial areas including A/R. A/P, P/R, sales, and operations.

 

Assist in preparing monthly financial statements; Prepare, & analyze account reconciliations; Assist in the preparation of monthly analytical reports; Prepares sales & property tax returns; Experience with A/R, A/P, & P/R; Maintenance of the fixed asset and depreciation sub-ledger; Responsible for the reconciliation of all bank accounts and investment accounts; Assists with coordination of internal & external audits; Other responsibilities as assigned.
