Description:
Working under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant manages the general ledger for the organizations multiple subsidiaries. The successful candidate will operate as an integral part of a corporate accounting team, and will provide leadership in the areas of accounting and finance both within the department and laterally in the enterprise. Job Description: • Primary function will be the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements. • Participates in the month end close of the primary US Company and fully manages the month end close for a subsidiary. • Prepares journal entries for prepaids, accruals, allocations, and inventory. • Codes, prepares journal entries, and reconciles the Amex Account. • Prepares the cash reconciliations of all corporate bank accounts. . • Maintain fixed asset accounts and monitors capital expenditures. • Maintains inventory accounts and prepares reserve analysis. • Prepares monthly management reports. • Performs research in response to questions from department heads and other accounting and finance projects as needed. • Prepares business license renewals and related taxes. • Prepare year-end audit schedules and participate in the year-end audit. • Create and improve financial processes, building strong partners. • Develop and support accounting and corporate policies, procedures and controls.

Requirements:
• Previous experience with Balance Sheet reconciliation a must. • BA/BS in Accounting with minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy • Must have good understanding of GAAP • Must be proficient in Excel • Knowledge of CostPoint or Navision a plus. •DOD experience a plus. •Candidates must be open to contract positions.

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $25.00 Hourly DOE
