Senior Accountant/Analyst

Atlantic Industrial, Inc. a member of the Brock Group is currently looking for an experienced accountant/analyst to work in our our Columbia, Maryland office as part of our Financial Processing Group. We are seeking an individual with technical skills in Access and Excel that is also very knowledgeable and strong in accounting.

The successful candidate will have mastered the following skills and experience and/or education:

· Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting/Finance/Business; Plus three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience;

· Must have at least two years of experience and be proficient in the use of Microsoft’s suite of products. Particularly, MS Office, Excel(Pivots, Lookups, Ifs) and Access.

· A self-starter; Strong work ethic;

· Strong interpersonal skills; Good people skills;

· Excellent oral and written communication skills;

· Excellent judgment in resolving routine issues;

· Meets commitments;

· Always attentive to details;

· Must be organized;

The following are some of the duties and responsibilities which will be carried

out while successfully performing the job:

· Run pre-buit Access processes;

· Run reports out of ADP;

· Build statistical reports using pivot tables;

· Run reports as needed from our accounting system;

· Produce miscellaneous journal entries and imported journals;

· Serve as help desk support to field on time entry system;

· Perform documentation and updating of accounting procedures;

· Assist with training;

· Perform special projects relating to process improvements and efficiency;
