Senior Account Executive – Job Description
Jacobs & Clevenger is an independent Chicago-based marketing communications agency that specializes in direct response, database and digital solutions. Our clients are leading business-to-business and consumer marketers in the financial, foodservice, healthcare and utility industries. We’re a boutique agency that is independently owned and staffed with original thinkers. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a full-time Senior Account Executive.
Responsibilities include:
· Manage the day-to-day projects and business of agency accounts, including building relationships between agency staff and client contacts
· Lead execution of multiple tactical marketing communications programs, including serving as external client interface and internal process manager
· Develop strategic direct marketing plans; oversee and lead the internal concept & creative development process and review the work of other departments
· Responsible for initiating, editing and managing media and list plans, creative strategy briefs, and research/analysis projects, and for training and developing assistant account executives and/or account coordinators
· Assume fiscal responsibility for assigned projects
· Implement media testing and recommendations, including test matrices, response measurements and cost/benefit analysis
Qualifications:
· Substantial direct marketing experience required
· Experience with direct mail, email marketing, landing pages or online advertising preferred
· BS in Advertising or Marketing preferred
· 4-5 years marketing communications experience—agency experience preferred
Skills:
· Successful at managing volume work with multiple projects and meeting deadlines; strong organizational, budgeting, oral and writing skills
· Understanding of direct marketing fundamentals (list management, DR creative, offer development, response measurement, etc)
· Working knowledge of MS Office and the Web—Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
· Professional, flexible, and dependable work style
· Ability to self-start and maintain initiative
· Ability to work independently or as a member of a highly collaborative team
· Resourceful – ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve independently
