Description:
Volt is seeking a talented Cisco Network Systems and Security Administrator who is looking for a long term opportunity in the Las Vegas area. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with our top client in the area. For more information, please review the job description below. This role is a senior-level position responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring enterprise network and network security infrastructure. The Network Systems and Security Admin analyzes business data flow to/from enterprise systems and designs local and wide-area network architectures that meet performance requirements. This individual also analyzes network security requirements and implements strategies designed to thwart attacks from a wide variety of sources. The Network System and Security Admin supports all of these systems in a 24/7 environment ensuring that they continually operate safely and at peak performance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Maintains and supports network and security infrastructure, Responsible for network performance, Assists in the design of network solutions, Analyzes network security issues and makes recommendations, Actively monitors network systems for malicious activity and attacks, Assists in the development and implementation of network use and security policies and standards, Acquire, install, and maintain hardware and software associated with local and wide area networks, Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hour and weekend support, Keeps abreast of new technologies and suggests their application where appropriate.

Requirements:
Any of the following Certifications are extremely beneficial: CISSP, RSA/CSE, or Cisco CCIE/CCSP or Security Professional SCNP/SCNA, CompTA Security+; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), BS/MS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, CCNP or equivalent skill set, Minimum of 5 years experience LAN/WAN Network Administration, Minimum of 2 years experience as a Network Security Administrator, Advanced experience in PIX firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection, Advanced ability to troubleshoot network problems, Experience supporting a 24x7 environment, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client relation, skills, and the ability to work effectively as a leader in a technical team environment.

Pay Rate: 35.00 - 45.00 Hourly DOE
