We are looking for a Security Representative on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments.” This position is based in Jersey City, NJ as well As in New York city.

 

 

Summary

As a security representative, you will play an integral role in ensuring safety and minimizing risk for all employees at various client site locations. A security representative works in a team environment but must also be able to act independently and have a strong sense of urgency. This role also requires that you work with many department managers and staff.

 

 

Responsibilities

Conduct focused patrols by foot or vehicle to protect people, property, and information within assigned area of responsibilityCheck electronic and mechanical devices that require monitoring and recording, and reports abnormal conditionsAssure that facilities and restricted areas are properly securedVerify need for entry and issues badges to visitorsRender first-responder services to all emergencies and incidents, within scope of trainingPrepare written reports of incidentsUse various computer applicationsUse various manual and automated equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, et cetera Provide access control, security, and customer interface at fixed posts, to include lobby entry points, executive reception areas, and event-related assignmentsAnswer phone calls and documents messages and requestsMay perform specialized additional duties relating to controlling computer systems and facility access Two years experience demonstrating the application of the interpersonal skills requiredAbility to spend periods of time walking or standing at a fixed postAbility to perform first-responder rescue activities involved with medical or facility emergency situationsKnowledge of basic first aid and CPR, or the ability to acquire such knowledge through trainingBachelors degree or equivalent a plus; criminal justice degree a plusKnowledge of basic physical security techniques and principles, or the ability to acquire such knowledge through trainingPresent a neat, clean, non-threatening appearanceAbility to demonstrate poise and self-control under stressElementary computer literacy or the ability to become computer literateGood analytical skillsAbility to communicate clearly in English in direct conversation and by telephone
