Security Analyst - Chicago

 

Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP is a premier general practice law firm with 14 offices located throughout the country.  The Security Team currently has an opening for a Security Analyst in the Chicago office.  This is a mid-level position for a candidate with 2-4 years experience in one or more of the following subject areas:

 

Information SecurityDisaster RecoveryRegulatory ComplianceForensics / Investigative ProcessesPhysical Security

In addition, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated proficiency in three or more of the following technical areas:

 

Database Technologies (Microsoft SQL and MySQL)Web Languages (.Net/IIS, Java/Tomcat or HTML/Apache)Scripting Languages (Perl and C-Shell)Windows Operating Systems (2000 and XP and 2003)Security Technologies (CheckPoint, ISS, Nessus and RATT)

 

As an analyst, your core responsibilities involve solving security problems through the use of intellect, creativity, data, systems and automation.  Daily responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Supporting the Firm’s Firmwide Internet protection and risk identification programOngoing analysis of security events, processes and related systemsThe opportunity to improve these processes and systems through automation and integration effortsActive involvement in efforts surrounding technologies such as intrusion detection, prevention, vulnerability assessment and system remediation among othersParticipation in an on-call rotation
