We are currently assisting our client in hiring a Security Analyst for a 6+ month long contract.  This person must have a Bachelor’s Degree, and a Security Certification.  Also, you must be familiar with Windows 2003 and should have a couple of years working with these Operating Systems.  Candidates must be able to load the operating Systems with accuracy and in a rapid fashion, and would also need to be able to work closely with the CIO security staff on all Security issues and they must be familiar with the "Hardening" (security) of all the servers, both Wintel and UNIX.

Responsibilities:

·    Analyzes and defines security requirements and designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions.

·    Performs risk analysis and security audit services, developing analytical reports as required.

·    May be required to perform in one or more of the following areas: AIS risk assessment methods and procedures; security of system software generation; security of computer hardware; operating system utility/support software; disaster recovery and contingency planning; telecommunications security; development of AIS security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

·    Five years of experience in information technology, of which at least three years of specialized experience in system engineering and/or design, design assurance or testing for INFOSEC products and system computer networking technology.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

·    ** With a Master’s degree (in the fields described in Minimum Education above): two years of specialized experience.

·    ** With eight years of general information technology experience and at least five years of specialized experience, a degree is not required.

·    US Citizenship or Green Card Applicants only due to requirement with the government

·    Must have experience with monitoring web traffic for viruses and other malicious code, monitoring of security incident response systems, intrusion detection systems and vulnerability assessment.

·    Penetration testing, virus scanning of all the facility servers and user's workstations.

·    Configure Intrusion detection systems, experience with ISS is a plus.

·    Able to apply security patches to all Windows OS’s and workstations.

·    Maintained password lists for all servers and users, and provided guidelines and policies for new systems that are added into the environment.

·    Provide and support to the CIO security policies and procedures on all Servers and workstations.

·    This person must be able to attend meetings with the customer and handle situations that are critical and important to the performance of this task order.
