SUMMARY
This position is responsible for testing, calibrating, and repairing electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, and assists in formulating calibration standards by performing the duties listed below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets up standard and special purpose measurement equipment in customers facilities.
Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment.
Complies with ISO calibration standards when required by the customer.
Installs new equipment in customers facilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license and good driving record needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
