Job Description:

 

Mentor is in the process of implementing SAP CRM and SRM and upgrading ERP to ECC 6.0. The SAP Infrastructure Architect and Basis Lead is part of the Enterprise Architecture Vision in IT.

 

The position is expected to lead and provide technology vision, architectural expertise and long range planning in the areas of SAP ERP, CRM, SRM, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager and Netweaver development and Deployment. Translate SAP functional specifications into detailed technical landscape requirements and design documents. This position will also lead the SAP Basis team, providing oversight for outsourced and in-house Basis staff. This is a very visible leadership role that requires the ability to align the SAP enterprise and technology architecture with IT and business strategies. Facilitate and conduct technical reviews of SAP Projects. Work with other groups within IT to address SAP architecture relevant issues that arise during project implementation. The individual will be responsible for delivering technical strategies, standards, and guidelines for introducing/enhancing SAP functionalities across the IT Enterprise application landscape while also managing the delivery of Basis services. This role requires active participation with regards to analysis, design, development/configuration, documentation, testing, performance studies and implementation of MySAP components. 6+ years of experience with SAP R/3 in releases 4.6 upwards, SAP CRM, SAP SRM, SAP BW, SAP EP and SAP Netweaver required. Experience with ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0 highly desirable.

Requirements:

Must have significant experience as a hands-on SAP Basis Engineer prior to architect focus. Very strong knowledge of SAP Basis in a Unix and Oracle environment with experience in implementing ECC 6 , CRM, SRM, EP, Web App Server and Solution Manager. Knowledge of ALE, EDI, IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, Workflow configuration and Webservices. Proven record of designing and troubleshooting interfaces between SAP and external systems as well as experience in SAP Performance analysis – code and database optimization. Strong understanding and knowledge of SAP’s Netweaver platform, Exchange Infrastructure (XI) and SAP’s SOA architecture model as well as CTS. Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form.

Nice to have knowledge/Skills:

SAP functional experience in SD, CRM, FICO, SRM, HR, SAP Business Warehouse and Java and Database skills.
