Project Manager / Design Engineer

Metcalf & Eddy is looking to hire a PROJECT MANAGER / LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER for our SAN FRANCISCO, CA office. This person will perform project management duties and will lead/supervise project teams and design engineering activity in general civil engineering and related to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure facilities that may include:
  
• Pump stations
• Gravity Sewers
• Pressure Pipelines
• Utilities and Treatment Facilities

The responsibilities of the individual will include but are not limited to: Lead Design Engineering Client Interaction Proposal Development Scheduling Budget Management Project Management Construction Management

Qualifications

10-15 years of experience as a consulting/design engineer in the municipal general civil and/or water/wastewater industry. Civil/Water/Wastewater utility/facility design experience including development of conceptual/preliminary designs, detailed design document preparation, and office engineering during construction.   Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation. Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities. Experience mentoring and supervising other engineering professionals. B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Professional Engineering Registration in California Benefits
