COMMODITIES AND RAILROAD SALVAGE BUYER/BROKER

 

DENTON, TX

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS

Develop strong relationships with current and potential customers for opportunities to purchase distressed/salvaged goods.Develop end user retail markets for distressed commodities or products purchased eliminating the need or dependency on brokers.Keep informed of commodity market prices and trends and how they may relate to distressed or salvage resale markets.Purchase and re-sell products within company budget guidelines.Develop broker buyer markets (secondary) if/as needed.Maintain established margins on transactions.Be available on call as needed to assess potential salvaged/distressed goods purchases and evaluate re-sell risk.

 

Qualified candidates must have excellent negotiating, sales and marketing skills, 7-10 years prior purchasing experience to include 3-5 years in salvaged goods/commodities and a Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
