As a senior member of world class System Test team at Salesforce.com, you will ensure that our application is ultra fast and scalable with highest level of reliability. You'll design, configure and run load and stress tests, collect scalability and performance data, analyze test data, document and publish results. You will collaborate closely with other engineering and product management teams to prioritize and devise PSR test plan for new system functionalities. You will work with a team of demanding, highly motivated technologists and will be expected to both challenge and be challenged.

Responsibilities:

* Knowledge of an enterprise performance and reliability testing / load generation tools such as Mercury LoadRunner or Seque SilkPerformer
* Experience with system monitor tools such as perfmon, sar, iostat, and vmstat Knowledge of relational databases, Oracle SQL / PL SQL in particular, including query plan analysis/tuning, contention/locking analysis and tuning Knowledge of Java environments including memory management, garbage collection, collection classes (HashMap, ArrayList etc)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A big part of this job is communicating effectively with developers and managers
* Knowledge of Oracle clustering configurations (ie RAC, Grid, OPS)
* 2+ years of coding experience in Java, C/ C++, Perl or PHP
* Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Required Skills/Experience:

* Networking knowledge.
* Knowledge of how network configuration impacts performance Experience with Java or C++ code profiling and diagnostic tools such as JProbe or OptimizeIt Knowledge of Oracle diagnostic tools like Quest Spotlight (or similar diagnostic tool , ie OEM)
* Understanding of web programming including HTTP, cookies, HTML, Servlets and Java Server Pages Functional knowledge of CRM Applications
* BA/BS degree
