Qualifications:
- 7+ years demonstrated success in technical sales or technical sales support role in the payment service industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge of payment industry technologies and compliance including XML, Java, SSL, ISO interfaces, Web Storefronts, and PCI DSS
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, ClearCommerce, this position is responsible for technical sales support of the ClearCommerce payment processing and fraud management solution suite - eastern region (east of the Mississippi). The position is responsible for both pre-sales support as well as support for existing customers implementing new ClearCommerce services or solutions. Responsibilities include:
1. Engage with Sr. Sales to fully review and qualify customers or prospects requirements against the ClearCommerce solutions set. Take the lead in working with the customer’s technical and IT staff to answer all questions.
2. Partner with Sr. Sales to present solutions comprehensively, demonstrate all products fully, answer all technical questions raised, and develop a clear implementation plan which enables the customer to confidently select ClearCommerce.
3. Participate as the solution implementation specialist on all new customer implementations. Under the direction of a Project Manager, fulfill all assigned project responsibilities on-time and with high quality. Typical deliverables include requirements definition, integration documentation, training and post-implementation consulting.
4. Ensure customer satisfaction so that all assigned customers are referencable.
5. Develop and maintain a superior command of ClearCommerce solutions including a demonstrated ability to: (i) make an effective sales presentation; (ii) give a comprehensive product demonstration; (iii) recommend solutions to management for approval; (iv) develop and present an ROI analysis; (v) present ClearCommerce proposals; (vi) lead RFP/RFI responses to ensure on-time, high quality submission; (vii) participate as needed in proposal and agreement negotiations; and (viii) maintain and report regularly on all sales activity using company’s CRM system.
6. Developing and maintaining strong competitive insight on key industry players.
7. Take a lead role from the field Sales organization in providing structured and detailed product input through the Product Management organization.
8. Provide thought leadership both internally and externally through presentations of market trends, case studies and industry articles.
