A leading utility company is actively interviewing for successful candidates to work in their Customer Planning Department. You will be the primary customer contact on new construction of gas and electric distribution projects. The right person will be knowledgeable of distribution engineering standards, utility construction practices, easements and Tariffs on new construction. Educational requirements are a bachelor’s in engineering, marketing, business, or finance are preferred; however, please apply if you are experienced in working with customers directly on timely completion of construction projects and have interfaced with builders, developers and contractors. You must be able to solve problems on the fly, communicate effectively, and possess the communication skills to work with not only the customers but also the builders, developers, and contractors. This challenging position is available for a super charged individual. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance at this time is not available for this position in the Baltimore area. Questions you will be asked:
• Describe your experience level in working with these type of projects: engineering, utilities (gas or electrical), or construction industries.
• Describe any experience you might have in any of the following: distribution engineering standards; utility construction practices; easements and Tariffs on new construction?
• Interacting with Customers is an important part of this position, what experience have you had dealing with customers?
• Have you ever worked with the Maryland Public Service Commission’s Gas and Electric Service Tariffs?
• Where do you presently live? When would you be able to start this new position?
