SuperFloors/Interior Specialists, Inc., one of the largest multi-state flooring contractors in the U.S., has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Family Sales Specialist based at our Portland, OR location. Generate and manage multi-family/commercial builder business. Create a systematic management approach to manage large account assets profitability. Maintain relations with builder staff to solidify long term relationships and deliver timely and consistent service. Improve efficiencies to protect margin.
Responsibilities Include:
- Grow the Company’s business and presence in the Portland-area Multi-Family Construction market; treat soliciting new business as a top priority
- Create relationships with key customers and prospects, including architects, General Contractors and specifiers
- Strive for greater than 25% gross margins on all jobs
- Must achieve greater than 18% gross before rebates on all jobs
- Bidding, estimating, quantities, field measurements and verifications
- Gather prices and pricing strategy
- Scope of work/negotiations
- Contracts and change orders
- Submittals/Value Engineering
- Labor set-up for project
- Prepare cutsheets
- Scheduling coordination with Production and Field Managers
- Complete punch list with Field Managers
- Manage at least $1,750,000 in running projects on an annual basis.
- Continued learning of new floor finishes and applications
- Miscellaneous projects and duties as signed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 4 year degree preferred
- Previous experience in the multi-family/commercial construction industry
- Proven outside sales skills and experience
- Superior communication skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to persuade
- Floorcovering product/installation knowledge and estimating experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Extremely high-energy, reliable, flexible, and self-motivated team player
- Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
