-        A proven track record of building sales year to year in a competitive environment.

-        At least two years of sales/retailing history with a national manufacturing company or Retailer.

Key Results Areas

 

1. Day to Day Sales Planning with Direct Reports and Account Groups

Provide weekly status report of key events to Sr. Sales Manager, Sales V.P., and the Company’s PresidentWithin 24 hours of account visit, provide account recap to the Sr. Sales Manager, Sales V.P., and the Company’s President.Work closely and watch sales at retail for each account to minimize markdown.  Where markdown is necessitated, provide markdown request to the Sales V.P. and the Company’s President and for approval before committing to the customerEstablish and communicate all buying timelines for each account throughout the company.

 

2. Strategic Planning, Forecasting & Sales Planning, and Follow Through

In conjunction with the VP of Marketing and the President, establish minimum/most likely/high sales plan and forecasts, item by item, for the account each year by the given date that is requested each season.  Establish present retailers timelines for Spring Sales Presentations, Fall Sales Presentations, and order due dates.Once forecasts are established; prepare Business Plans for each buyer per each specific category, sales policies, and a sales plan (ads, end caps, real estate, catalog, etc.).  Studies accounts and propose promotional activity for the Business Plan such as print and catalog ads, end caps, check lane, etc. for the account in a timely manner.  Present plan to buyer, ask for feedback and commitment, follow through regularly, and close the sale.Obtain POS data daily and weekly, share with Sr. Sales Manager, Sales V.P., CEO, and other Departments upon requestMonitor and adjust sales forecast and plan at least monthly and present revisions to the Sr. Sales Manager, Sales V.P. and presidentProactively work with the account and VP of Marketing to find out retailer cross-licensing opportunities, in-store promotions, ad promotions, and license commitments regularly and in a timely manner.  Once established, make sure company related licensed products are prominently represented in the retailers programs.Proactively and timely follow through and close sales according to the sales plan.Schedule, plan, and attend company sales meetings.Provide competitions’ information and product needs for key accounts.Monitor the achievement of Sales goals and variances to the business plan on a monthly basis.Based on the Company’s strategic plan, develop short and long-term sales goals
