Nidec-Shimpo America Corporation is expanding its West Coast presence and looking for dynamic people to work with us in our new sales office in Montclair, CA. The Regional Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sale of Shimpo’s line of speed reducers and ring cone drives in Northern California, Northern Nevada, Washington, Idaho and Oregon. This person will assist in the continued development of the distributor network and supervise an existing rep network. This is an exciting yet challenging opportunity for an individual who would be part of a professional sales team enhancing Shimpo’s position in the marketplace.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree in engineering or marketing, and/or related life/work experience with some or all of the following products:

Low backlash speed reducers for servo or stepper motor applications

Cycloidal speed reducers for high service factor applications

Mechanical variable speed drives for high service factor applications

Experience working with independent sales reps and/or distributors is a big plus.

This is a regular full time position based in Montclair, CA, with approximately 50% travel. While in the office, this person will assist with the sales and application of all Shimpo Drives products.

Salary is negotiable with experience. Cell phone, laptop computer, and goal-based bonus plan are provided.
