Sales Executive for North America - Software for Insurance Industry

 

 

Are you at the “Top of Your Game” selling a premier product to Tier 2 and 3 insurers?  As a SunGard iWorks Sales Executive you will use your insurance industry knowledge to sell our highly rated COMPASS software to insurers throughout North America. 

 

COMPASS is a recognized industry leader and is used by 5 of the top 10 insurance companies in the Life & Health sector. This is an exciting opportunity to sell a multi-functional software product that is an effective, automated, management tool for a broad range of insurance programs including the current hot trend – voluntary insurance.  

 

With your proven ability to sell into the Insurance sector at the Director level and above, you will close $3-5 Million deals to Life & Health insurers.  Your clear understanding of your customers’ marketplace and their business drivers will be the key to penetrating target accounts. Skillful demonstration of the SunGard COMPASS solution that supports your customers’ business goals is fundamental to closing Insurers through a long sales cycle.

 

The North America territory requires substantial travel throughout North America (US, Canada, Caribbean). You will have the choice to work from you home-based office or from our suburban Natick, Massachusetts office. 

 

COMPASS is a product of SunGard  iWorks (http://tinyurl.com/5bm6r9),   iWorks is part of SunGard Financial Services business sector.  The COMPASS product is a comprehensive solution that singularly manages pension and savings, life, disability, AD&D, dental, vision and group health (from enrollment to termination or claim). The system's built-in flexibility is vital to capitalizing on market trends and opportunities as it allows quickly construction of virtually any type of product as well as ability to support any line of business within the financial services and insurance industry. 

 

You MUST have documented experience selling to Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 Insurers.

 

 

What you will do:

 

Manage sales activity and drive new business revenue into Insurance sector in the North America territory.  Develop leads and relationships at the highest levels of prospects, Organize and spearhead complex sales processesOrganize and drive sales support to successful close Lead negotiations and contract preparation. Utilize strong verbal and written communications skills with a keen ability to ask, listen and develop the right solutions and responses to gain trust and respect.

 

Skills and Experience you will need:

 

1.         Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2.         5 or more years of new sales experience to the Tier 2 and 3 Insurers of North America REQUIRED

3.         Track record of handling complex sales and driving to successful close

4.         Ability to communicate the selling messages effectively

5.         Development and management of an active pipeline

6.         Flexibility to travel 100% throughout North America REQUIRED
