A world leader in design, manufacturing and sales of very specialized hydraulic presses and related equipment is seeking qualified sales engineer.  The company provides custom engineered solutions to solve difficult, often unique, hydraulic applications.  The position will work with clients in the composites material field, obtaining and analyzing customer needs, prepare estimates and quotations, and provide project management.  Markets include food, printing, packaging, healthcare, electronics and general manufacturing.

 

Job Responsibilities

·        Be proactive in selling capital equipments into custom applications and other departments to provide customers with competitive sales services during training period

·        Initiate cold calls and follow-ups

·        Prepare and issue proposal drawings, estimates and quotations

·        Understand machinery and applications, and needs of customer, primarily in composite materials and molding areas and their applications

·        Assist in providing seminars and training

·        Provide status reports to engineering, sales management and customers

·        Significant U.S. travel (30-40%)

 

Job Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Associates degree with appropriate capital equipment sales experience will be considered

·        Desire to sell capital industrial equipment. Work experience with composite material or rubber molding experience a plus

·        Some knowledge of computer-aided design techniques

·        Knowledge of hydraulic presses a plus

·        Strong communications skills

·        Knowledge of Microsoft office products

·        Comfortable dealing with customers
